Fossil Coast Drinks Sponsors the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival 2024 Festival Map

Fossil Coast Drinks Co is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival 2024 Festival Map. This colour illustrated map will help visitors plan their trip and over the weekend of the 8th and 9th June guide people in the right direction to many of the Expert Talks, Exhibitions & Educational Activities, Guided Walks, Author Talks & Book Signings, Creative Workshops, Street Performances and much, much more!

The Lyme Regis Fossil Festival is billed as "The Greatest Public Palaeontological Event in the UK" and a must-do Summer experience taking part along the Jurassic Coast organised by the Lyme Regis Museum.

This festival welcomes fossil enthusiasts of all ages who enjoy the Earth's natural world, geodiversity and fossil record especially in the home town of Mary Anning who is remembered as the greatest pioneering palaeontologist and fossil hunter.

Let’s not forget the back drop of Lyme Regis is the cliffs and beaches where some of the most famous fossils were and still are found today. The fossiliferous Blue Lias Formation of Lyme Regis extends both east and west of the town. These exposed cliffs date back to the Early Jurassic epoch some 174.7 to 201.4 million years ago. Don't forget to book your 2.5 - 3 hour guided Fossil Walk on East beach and Black Ven. Maybe you will be lucky and take home an ammonite as well as memories.

Where else would we be? It’s going to be a busy weekend for Fossil Coast as adults and parents can sample our award-winning premium drinks on Marine Parade (at the bottom of lister gardens) whose stories in a bottle are inspired by the Jurassic Coast and our young visitors can meet Eleanor at the Lyme Regis Museum early on Saturday who illustrates the acclaimed Mesozoic Series of books for Fossil Coast Books.” Says Wayne Munday - Founder of Fossil Coast.
